Welcome to the OFFICIAL website of the 2009 Rocket Run 5K and Fun Walk!
The 2009 Rocket Run 5k and Fun Walk is a part of a Service Learning Project for the tenth grade Advanced American Literature course at Lowellville High School. The race is being organized and put on for the first year by John Kostelnak, Michael Petronek, and Michael Mangine. Supervisors for this race include Lisa Iberis, Patricia Kostelnak, and all art work has been completed by Stephen Petronek. The Race will take place on May 2nd, 2009 and will begin at Lowellville High School. This road course will proceed through the streets of Lowellville, Ohio and will end back at the High School where it started. This course is good for young, old, experienced, and inexperienced runners who are looking to take on a challenge. With only two main streets that make up this entire village, Lowellville is an ideal venue to hold such an event. The fun walk will take place on Lowellville High School's state of the art track while the run is in progress. This is a non-profit event and all proceeds will go to directly benefit the Mahoning Valley chapter of Hospice of the Valley. Information on the race is below. Entry Fee: 5K:
If received before April 25: $15.00 (includes T-shirt)
Race Day 5K Registration: $20.00 (T-shirt if quantities last)
Walk:
Registration: $15.00 for Adults, $10.00 for Children (T-Shirts can be purchased at race)
